Our client, Jhan, shared his vision, and as we discussed the details over video call, I couldn’t help but pray I’d find the perfect materials to match his expectations. Thankfully, I did!

Jhan wanted the dress to be inspired by a Modern Filipiñana, blending a touch of traditional Filipino elements with a European vibe. It was important to him not only to incorporate this cultural fusion but also to showcase the work of a Filipino designer like me. This added a deeper layer of significance to the design. When I asked Jhan why he chose black for the reception dress, he shared something truly inspiring. He planned to cut his hair short during the reception to donate it to cancer patients, and the black dress is a tribute to them. He wanted to make his wedding more purposeful, and this meaningful gesture added a beautiful layer to their special day.

As for Michael, his partner, he wanted a couture-style top—a layered suit/cover-up that was both stylish and unique. The entire ensemble looked incredibly chic and perfectly suited the occasion.

We carefully guided the couple on how to take accurate body measurements via video call, and they followed through perfectly. We stayed in close contact throughout the entire process, reviewing measurements to ensure everything was just right.

After two months of meticulous work, including hand embroidery, we completed the dress and suit, and we couldn’t be more proud of the result.
